EXCELLENT STUDY ENVIRONMENT
Coniston offers accommodation in individual study rooms each with its own washbasin. The bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of natural light and good central heating. We also have larger en-suite rooms which are available on request. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided and laundered as part of the service we offer.
Our computer room is open 24-hours with access the internet from your own laptop or using one of our PCs. You can do searches, write essays, and print your work.
But an environment is more than just physical facilities. Coniston is a rich mix of students from all the main universities and colleges in Manchester. Students in Coniston come from a variety of disciplines - law, arts and humanities, medicine, sciences, business & commerce, journalism, marketing etc., and from different cultures and countries.This rich mixture ensures that students can benefit from broader interaction and acquire an understanding of different cultures and ways of living. The tradition of having second and final year students in Coniston gives first year students the support and back-up of older students to build on their experiences.

Coniston Hall’s management team is made up of graduates who are familiar with the challenges and dynamics of college life and so can respond to the needs of students with flexibility and insight.
Coniston is serviced by Ashley Training Centre, another project of the Ashley Educational Trust, offering hospitality training at NVQ level and run by top professionals. Thus we ensure that the Hall is always clean (rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and the bed linen and towels are provided and changed regularly). The Catering - no worries about cooking either! - is an obvious bonus. We have the reputation of providing the best meals in Manchester!!
